Expat from U.S., Murdered in Cuenca Ecuador

cuenca-news reported that according to police, Daniel V. was accused and charged with the murder of Henry Drinker Riley; The Public Prosecutor has asked for the suspect to be held for 30 days. Police officers found a suitcase which belonged to the victim in the house of the suspect.

Officers from DINASED, the National Direction of Crimes against Life, Violent Deaths, Missing Persons, Extortion and Kidnapping, have interviewed witnesses who confirm the victim and the suspect knew each other. On the night of Riley’s death, the two men were seen and heard arguing, which led to a physical confrontation in which Riley was stabbed 27 times. Read Article
