U.S. Expat in Buenos Aires Victim of Kidnap Express, pastor of Mormon Church

losandes.com.ar reported an American citizen who serves as pastor of the Mormon Church was the victim of an “express kidnapping” in Ciudadela and suffered the theft of his truck, money and personal effects. This was reported by a source from the embassy of the United States and identified the victim as David Robertson Raul, 52, who lives in the Buenos Aires district of San Isidro. “Mr. Robertson contacted us and made the complaint. That incident and the overall increase in crimes against Americans in recent months, the Embassy issued the message (alert on insecurity),” confided the source. Robertson was driving one day last week that the source was unable to clarify his Toyota Hilux pickup truck through the neighborhood of Ciudadela near the western access and Avenida General Paz, and was intercepted by armed criminals.
