British Tourist Falls From Hot Air Balloon in strong winds, Dies in South Africa

inquisitr.com reported a 48-year-old British tourist has died after falling from a hot air balloon in inquisitr.com reported South Africa on Tuesday. The woman, identified as Susan Astle, was reportedly on the hot air balloon ride with her husband and two sons when it was suddenly swept by a powerful wind and crashed into a tree, News24 reported. Astle and a four-year-old girl fell out of the basket after it tilted about 20 feet above the ground near the Buffelspoort Dam, North West Province.

A paramedic who responded to the hot air balloon crash site told The Sun that Susan Astle’s husband and sons followed her to the hospital. However, she died overnight on Tuesday at the Mediclinic Brits hospital. Read Article
