Versailles, Fraince: Chinese Tourist Guide Robbed while intervening in robbery of other tourists

channelnewsasia.com reported VERSAILLES, France: A Chinese tourist guide was robbed of €25,000 (US$28,300) in cash and his new Rolex watch after he had prevented two of his group from being robbed themselves outside a hotel near Paris, police said Sunday (Sep 13). The Chinese tourists were getting off a coach when three men tried to grab designer handbags from two women in the group. When the 32-year-old guide intervened, the men turned their attention to him and grabbed his bag containing €20,000 and nearly 5,000 Swiss francs (€4,500) and also the watch, which he had just bought for around 5,000 euros.
