U.S. Expat in Cuenca Ecuador falls to his death from condo

According to a report from Cuencahighlife.com, a 69 year old U.S. expat fell to his death last Thursday from a balcony at his condo in Cuenca Ecuador. The victim’s name has not been released.

The expat’s wife indicated that she had seen her husband reading while sitting on the balcony of their condo at about 11:00 am. When she could not find him she noticed ambulances outside the building.She discovered that her husband was deceased and being moved to the morgue. Police established that his death was caused by the fall.

The wife of the deceased American stated his behaviour had been normal and that it was proably an accident. She reported to authorities that he would lean over the railing to refill their hummingbird feeder. Read Article
