Sukhumvit, Bangkok: Chinese tourists involved in fatal accident

Banglamung police received a call from the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Team on Monday evening about a fatal road accident that had occurred on Sukhumvit Road inbound to Pattaya. Involved in the accident were two Chinese tourists, Miss Xu aged 62 who had multiple injuries and was being treated before being sent to hospital, and Mr. Liv, aged 64 who had unfortunately died from multiple fractures and blood loss. A wrecked red plated Toyota Camry was found 50 meters away with its shaken driver, a local policeman, Mr. Taweesak, aged 54. He stated that he was in the outer lane when he passed the couple walking hand in hand across this busy highway. Suddenly, they turned and ran straight into his path.
