Taiwan: Independent Chinese Tourist dies after being hit by a motorcycle

A Chinese national traveling on his own was killed in a traffic accident in eastern Taiwan Tuesday, becoming the first independent Chinese tourist to lose his life while visiting Taiwan, Hualien police said Thursday. The 29-year-old Chinese man, identified as Li Guanyi, was hit by a motorcycle at around 9:30 p.m on Jan. 24 while walking on the Central Cross-island Highway about 15 minutes after arriving at the Sincheng train station.
