Brazil: Expatriate from Italy murdered in robbery, shot in head

On March 21, 2013, G1 reported that an Italian man living in the city of Curitiba was shot in the head Thursday afternoon after a robbery attempt. He was taken to Evangelical Hospital in the city, where he died early this morning. The robbery happened just two blocks from the victim’s house. Police spokesman Rubens Recalcati said that there were two thieves involved, and that they escaped in a black car. Police are currently searching camera footage to see if the men were pursuing the Italian’s cell phone or some other item of value. No one has been arrested yet. Read Article
