West Nile case confirmed in Texas

According to a tylerpaper.com report, an Anderson County man is the state’s first confirmed case of West Nile illness this season, the Texas Department of State Health Services today confirmed in a news release. The illness was confirmed in an adult male from Anderson County. The patient is recovering from the neuroinvasive form of the disease, according to the release. Additional details about the patient were not being released to protect the patient’s identity. Read article
