U.S. tourist shot at Belgium airport during attempt to stop a theft

At Brussels Airport in Zaventem, a man was shot in the foot when he tried to prevent two thieves from stealing a handbag early this morning. The man, an American tourist, was taken to hospital. The incident happened at the entrance C of the departure hall shortly before 6 o’clock this morning. The man witnessed how two thieves were stealing a handbag and decided to intervene.
