U.S. and Polish tourists assaulted at knife point while cycling in Ancash region of Peru

Three foreign cyclists were assaulted by four men with knives in the area known as “La Selva”, located in the slums santeño Manuel Arevalo district of Chimbote, Ancash region. This is the American Holly Lee Allin (sic), 47, and Polish Ocaalek Aldana, 34 and Ezek Lemie Marell, 39, who seized their cameras and personal documents. According to police, the foreigners took the route of “The Jungle” and were in route to Trujillo. The victims plan on continuing to Lima and then Ecuador.Read Article
