Turkey, Istanbul: Authorities ban all protests on airport grounds

The Atatürk Airport SecurityCommission and the Istanbul deputy governor have banned all labor protests on airport property, Doğan news agency reported today. The commission, which made the decision in a monthly meeting, announced that authorities would put an to end to all ongoing protests at Atatürk Airport that are being conducted in response to Turkish Airlines’ decision to recently fire over 300 workers for participating in labor action.
