Tourists cautioned in travel to the Philippines due to minor floodings and damages

A last minute change of direction has saved the tiny Pacific nation of Palau from a direct hit by a category 5 “super typhoon”. The worst was expected as the typhoon with winds of 250 km/h headed for the nation’s islands. Meterologists expected much of the nation which sits less than 3 meters (10 feet) above sea level to be swamped by a 8 meter (25 feet) storm surge. Read article
