Spain: Tourist from UK Injured in Waterslide mishap at Aqualandia

A theme park outing went horribly wrong in Spain when a British tourist, Jamie Norman, had his face smashed open while riding a waterslide at Aqualandia, in the resort of Benidorm.

He had been standing in a capsule 33 metres high and it was on his third go that things went wrong. The slide is designed so riders fall down the steep slide, through a trapdoor, and into the water. But that’s not what happened.
Instead a trapdoor failed to open all the way and Mr Norman fell through, crushing his face, legs and arm against it.. Read Article
