South Africa: Bus driver charged in the deaths of 27 British tourists

A coach driver whose tour bus plunged down a South African mountain killing 27 Britons has been convicted of causing their deaths, local prosecutors said today.Titus Dube, 41, pleaded guilty to a charge of culpable homicide in connection with the September 1999 tragedy, according to the chief prosecutor’s office in Nelspruit, capital of the Mpumalanga province.
