Solomon Islands: Dengue fever continues to surge, 485 new cases past week

According to theglobaldispatch.com, “In a follow up to a story ten days ago, the dengue fever outbreak that has plagued the Oceanic country is showing no sign of slowing, according to a Radio New Zealand report yesterday. Health officials in Honiara say the country reported 485 new cases in just the past week. The Solomon Islands permanent secretary for Health and Medical Services, Dr Lester Ross said that as of April 18, they have recorded 3,189 cases, this is up from 2,226 cases two weeks prior.” Read Article
