President of Agricultural Society of Trinidad and Tobago request meetings with Lutchmedial regarding flights being cancelled

President of the Agricultural Society of Trinidad and Tobago (ASTT), Dhano Sookoo, has written to Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Ramesh Lutchmedial, requesting an urgent meeting to discuss two recent bird strikes at Piarco International Airport. Sookoo told Newsday she had arranged for a letter to be hand-delivered to Lutchmedial’s office yesterday afternoon, requesting a meeting with him and other stakeholders to ascertain the reasons why, in two separate incidents over the Easter weekend, a United Airlines flight then a Caribbean Airlines flight were delayed after experiencing bird strikes.
