Orlando Florida: Man detained in DUI death and injury of tourists from Scotland

The Orlandosentinel.com reported that about six months after a crash killed a Scottish tourist and injured his wife, Orlando police arrested the 45-year-old driver and charged him with DUI manslaughter. The tourists, Peter and Isobel Doherty, were sitting at a bus stop outside the Mall at Millenia when police say they were struck by a vehicle operated by suspected drunken driver David Lee Givens at about 5:45 p.m. Sept. 16. The Orlando man, who was arrested last week, was driving at about 52 miles per hour in a 35-mile-per-hour zone before the crash, a report said. Read Article
