New Zealand: Engine fire forces flight to Fiji to return to Auckland

Theaustralian.com.au reports that a flight bound for Fiji has been forced to return to Auckland International Airport after an engine caught fire. The Fiji Airways flight, with 128 people aboard, took off for Suva at 8.10am on Monday, but returned to land on just one engine before 9am. The right hand engine of the aircraft, understood to be a Boeing 737, had caught fire during the flight, and was extinguished. Read article
