New York: California man pistol-whipped by fake panhandler in Brooklyn

The New York Daily News reports that a California man who just moved to Brooklyn was brutally pistol-whipped while trying to make change for a creep pretending to be a panhandler, according to court papers. Meredith Lambson, 34, asked victim Scott McFarland for directions and change for a dollar about 3 p.m. Sunday on Norman Ave. in Greenpoint. As McFarland began to look for coins, Lambson allegedly pulled out a 9-mm. handgun and smacked him in the face. Read article
