Maine: Injured hiker rescued by airlift from Mount Katahdin

As reported by Bostonherald.com, officials say a hiker has been airlifted from Maine’s highest mountain after he was injured by a falling rock. Sixty-two-year-old Ned Hamara of Texas was hurt after a large rock fell on him Monday afternoon while he was hiking Mount Katahdin at Baxter State Park in Piscataquis County. Read Article
