London, England: Companies will face security threats

The Olympics brings thousands of athletes, spectators, dignitaries, and companies to London, all of whom make an attractive target for terrorists, anarchists, and other seeking to cause destruction and make headlines. This past weekend viewers in the U.S. could on one channel watch Olympic Team trials, and on another the breaking story of a missing Norwegian jihadist, said to be trained by al Qaeda and involved in a plot to attack the Olympics.Terrorists targeting global sporting events is not a new phenomenon. One of the most infamous events came during the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics, when the world watched in horror as members of the militant Black September terrorist organization murdered Israeli athletes. I saw the devastation caused by another group firsthand, when I led a team of more than 60 FBI Agents to Kampala, Uganda, in July 2010, to help investigate the simultaneous suicide bombing attacks during the 2010 soccer World Cup final.
