India: Nigerian kidnapped by fake constable in Chembur

According to timesofindia.com, the Kalachowkie police have rescued a Nigerian national who was allegedly kidnapped by six men-one of the kidnappers claimed to be a police constable-from Chembur on Saturday. The accused reportedly threatened to implicate the victim, Kenaya Iquanja, in a fake narcotics case, and told him to call up a friend, ask him to arrange for Rs 2 lakh and bring it to Cotton Green the next day. The friend suspected foul play and informed the police, who arrested Subhash Khade (33), Anish Sanghvi (32), and Dinesh S (33). The police are looking for Iquanja’s friend Akash, who reportedly planned the kidnapping, one Supe, who identified himself as a constable, and one Sagar. Read article
