India: Elderly French tourist attacked and robbed in the street near Dhobi Ghat

As covered by asianage.com, “A 65-year-old French tourist was robbed by a two people while she was walking near Dhobi Ghat at Saat Rasta on Saturday. One robber hit her on the neck and snatched her gold chain before fleeing. The Agripada police arrested one of the accused and recovered the gold chain from him. French national Escordin Bernord Semporsh, along with her husband landed in Mumbai on Friday. On Saturday she first visited Gateway of India and then came to Mahalaxmi in the evening to see Dhobi Ghat. According to the police, when she entered the Dhobi Ghat area, a man followed her. She asked him to go away, but the accused hit the lady on her neck and snatched her gold chain.” Read Article
