Guerrero Mexico: two tourists shot refusing to stop for community police (non-official)

lasillarota.com reported that two tourists were shot by members of the Community Police for not stopping at one of their checkpoints located in the community of Las Mesas in the town of San Marcos, while returning from Ventura beach. Augusto Cardona and Maria Patricia Gomez Rodriguez Padilla, from the Federal District, filed a complaint with the Public Ministry of Ayutla, after they were attacked with firearms for self-defense group in the state of Guerrero. In a subsequent checkpoint, tourists found a state police, who were called for support and taken to a local hospital. Read Article
