A four-day strike by Eurostar workers is the latest blow to France’s shell-shocked tourist industry.

The strike by members of Britain’s RMT union impacted on services from London to Paris and Lille, and also Brussels in Belgium today.

It comes after a disastrous summer in which France has suffered terrorist attacks in Nice and elsewhere, massive industrial strife and protests over controversial labour reforms and football violence at the Euro 2016 tournament, which the host nation lost in the final.
