Four Carnival participants die in fire during parade on float in Santos Brazil

At least four dead and six people were injured early today in a fire at a float during a parade of carnival samba schools of the Brazilian city of Santos, firefighters reported. The fire started just before 1:30 local time (3.30 GMT) when one of the coaches of the school Sangue Jovem (Young Blood) touched a power line, causing a short circuit and the flames quickly spread to the vehicle.
Sangue Jovem is a school made up of fans of the football club Santos and burning coach, called “O Rei da ball”, was dedicated to “King” of football Edson Arantes do Nascimento “Pele” as part of a parade of wealth African heritage. Read Article
