Egypt: U.S. orders mandatory evacuation of Cairo Embassy

According to Washingtonpost.com, Washington Post’s Ernesto Londono reports that the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, fearing a further security breakdown, ordered the mandatory evacuation of all personnel deemed non-essential. “We will begin departures immediately, with the expectation that all evacuees will have left for the States by this weekend,” embassy employees were told in an e-mail obtained by the Washington Post.
