Dutchman accused of stabbing Russian tourist detained in Crete

Xinhuanet.com reports that a 20-year old Dutch accused of stabbing an 11-year-old Russian tourist at a hotel on Crete island in southern Greece appeared before a local court on Monday and was remanded to a prison psychiatric ward, as investigation continues, local media reported. Cirino Schrijver worked as a children’s entertainer at a hotel near the city of Heraklion. He is said to have admitted stealing the boy’s mobile phone and laptop last week and attempting to kill him, according to Greek news agency AMNA. Read article
