Canadian climber dies after 500 metre fall in Stawamus Chief

Cbc.ca reported that, a woman has died from her injuries after falling from the Stawamus Chief in Squamish, search and rescue officials say. The granite dome, popular with hikers and rock climbers, towers over Howe Sound offering spectacular views from the top. Tragedy struck on Sunday, when the woman fell from an area known as Bellygood Ledge on the Grand Wall, which has a drop of about 500 meters. Read article
