Canadian base jumper dies after a thousand-meter fall in northern Italy

The Local Italy reports that a Canadian base jumper died in northern Italy on Monday, after a thousand-metre fall went wrong in the Trentino-Alto Adige region in northern Italy. The 47-year-old was attempting to jump from the Sass Pordoi peak in the Dolomites, which stands at around 3,000m, Italian daily La Repubblica reported. A base jumper leaps from a high point and falls before releasing their parachute and gliding to safety. Read article
