British Government Revenue and Customs Unit Warns Expats About Fake Tax Rebate Offers Via Email

Those filing online from abroad ahead of the January 31 deadline are being targeted by fraudsters who send out fake emails telling the recipient they are due a tax rebate. The email links to a clone of HMRC’s website. Once on the site, the recipient is asked to give their credit card or bank details.
