Analysis of Irish tourists robbed abroad

southdublin.today.ie reported ….Be it the pale skin, Irish reg plates, camera around their neck or map in hand the majority of Irish people who have been the victim of theft from their person while abroad, 58%, agree that either they or their travelling companion looked like a tourist at the time. Pickpocketing was identified as the most common occurrence with 12% of those polled by AA Travel Insurance saying they had been targeted at some point while in a foreign country. A higher percentage of the males polled, 13%, than females, 10%, said they have been pickpocketed while abroad. One in ten of those polled had items nicked from their accommodation while 6% were targeted while on public transport. Read Article
