Guangzhou, China: Dengue Cases Increase

szcpost.com reported that Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention that Guangzhou local dengue infection cases has increased to 108 cases as of the day before yesterday. Compared with the cases on Sept 18, 61 new cases occured within 9 days, an increase of over one time. 60% mainly concentrated in Fangcun village—the transition zone between Guangzhou and Foshan.In the face of growing outbreak of dengue fever,Guangzhou and Foshan worked together and sent a total of over 200 staff to implement anti-mosquito campaign in the intersection zone(including Liwan District and Nanhai District)the day before yesterday. 25 ℃ is the optimum temperature for mosquitoes to breed.
