Cyprus: British tourist drowns after saving another man from swift currents

Telegraph.co.uk reports that Keith West, 50, from Sheffield, had entered the sea on the first day of his holiday, after seeing a man in difficulty. He managed to pull the man to safety but lost his own footing and was dragged underwater by the current. A lifeguard went into the water to search for him, but it was ten minutes before Mr West’s body could be recovered and he could not be revived.
