British couple drowns in strong currents off Sicily

According to metro.co.uk, British tourist and his fiancée drowned off the coast of Sicily after he jumped in to save her from the current. Andrew Sturgess, 34, and Carmen Spiridon, 25, died despite the efforts of off-duty lifeguards to resuscitate them. It is thought he was trying to rescue her after she got into trouble in an area of shifting sands. Read article
