China: Beijing Police begin the 100-day crackdown on illegal immigrants

According to a report in the newspaper China Daily, the 100-day crackdown will see foreigners caught without valid paperwork issued with fines, detained and even expelled from the country. Employers and landlords who knowingly hire or house illegal foreigners will also face penalties, with employers liable to bear the cost of the foreigners’ deportation, the newspaper said. Read article
