Yemen: Gunmen abduct a Saudi national in Taiz

The Yemen Observer reports that a security source said that three unidentified gunmen abducted a Saudi national in the central city of Taiz, Yemen, late on Friday evening. The source, who declined to be named, said the gunmen abducted Yahya bin Mohammed Shahri, 36 years, a Saudi national, who entered Yemen on Aug. 17. The source also noted that the Saudi national is a member of a gang active in smuggling hashish and weapons through the Yemeni-Saudi borders and that the kidnappers are colleagues in the same gang.
