U.K. Travel Alert: High risk of terrorism & kidnapping in Somalia, targeting Westerners

According to www.gov.uk, “The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advise against all travel to Somalia, including Somaliland. Any British nationals in Somalia should leave. There is a high threat from terrorism, including kidnapping, throughout Somalia. Terrorist groups have made threats against Westerners and those working for Western organisations. The FCO believes that terrorists are in the final stages of planning attacks in Mogadishu. Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in crowded places, high-profile events, events involving government officials and in places frequented by foreigners.” Read Article
