Transport Union RMT calls for Tube strike due to pension and travel rights

Transport union RMT is to ballot its members at Tubes Lines for industrial action in a row over equal pension and travel-pass rights. Tubes Lines was bought by Transport for London (TfL) in a £310 million deal in May 2010, but its employees – including ex-Alstom staff at the Stratford Market depot – do not receive the same pension entitlement and travel concession as TfL workers.
