Spain: British passenger collapses and dies in airport waiting for flight home

According to metro.co.uk, a pregnant Briton collapsed and died at a Spanish airport as she waited to return from holiday with her family. The 21-year-old had been celebrating her grandmother’s 70th birthday on the Costa Brava, it emerged yesterday. The victim, who was believed to be three or four months pregnant, was taken ill while she waited to board a Birmingham-bound flight at Girona airport on Tuesday afternoon. Witnesses said she had passed through the departure gate and was travelling in a lift from the terminal building to the runway level when she reported feeling dizzy. Read article
