NEW DELHI: The strike by engineers of Kingfisher Airlines led to zero operations at Delhi’s IGI Airport on Monday. All of the airline’s 15 flights from Delhi stood cancelled and the airline stopped taking bookings for Tuesday. No clarity was offered for when bookings would start again. “The strike was quite sudden and there was no time to inform passengers of morning flights. Many reached the airport to be told that no flights were operating. However, messages and e-mails were sent by the airline for as many flights as possible. People who wanted to cancel tickets were given a full refund, especially since the airline was not able to accommodate passengers on other flights. Since only 15 flights operate from Delhi, the situation did not go out of hand at the airport,” said airport sources. Read article
