Mont Blanc, Alps: Tourists killed in avalanche

The massive slide of snow happened around 5am this morning as early morning climbers made their way up Mount Maudit, which translates as “cursed peak”, in the Mont Blanc range. Four climbers, two Britons and two Spanish, thought missing were later accounted for, the two Britons started from the refuge but turned around, the two Spaniards were reported to have resold their spots in the refuge to two other Spaniards who died.
