Mexico: Federal Officials reported that 7.6 earthquake that struck near Acapulco will not affect California

Federal officials said they don’t believe the estimated 7.6 earthquake that struck near Acapulco, Mexico on Tuesday will result in any tsunamis off the California coast.”A strong earthquake has occurred, but a tsunami is not expected along the California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, or Alaska coast. No tsunami warning, watch or advisory is in effect for these areas,” the West Coast Tsunami Warning Center said in a statement. Read article
