Malaysian police has arrested five suspects for the kidnapping of a young Dutch tourist

As a follow-up to my May 5 posting, concerning the kidnapping of Nayati Shamelin Moodliar, 12, a Dutch citizen who was released on May 3 after a ransom payment was delivered to the abductors, Malaysian police have arrested five suspects in the case, although the mastermind in the case has reportedly fled to Europe. COMMENT: Thus far, the ransom money, assembled by the boy’s parents, has not been recovered. The youngster was kidnapped while walking to a local international school where was a student, although this practice is not recommended for expats or residents who have financial means.
