ft.com reported that gunmen in northeastern Nigeria kidnapped up to seven foreign workers from the UK, Italy, Greece and Lebanon during a raid on a construction company compound on Saturday night, police said. The attack occurred in a rural part of Bauchi state. Mohammed Ladan, the Bauchi police chief, said the kidnappers initially targeted a police station and prison in the town of Jama’are before storming the compound of the Lebanese road and bridge building company.
