KATHMANDU Nepal: Three held in robbery of Chinese tourist

Metropolitan Police Crime Division on Wednesday arrested three persons for robbing a Chinese tourist in Swoyambhu. The arrested have been identified as Sanjaya Khadka (24) and Bijaya Thapa (22) of Gulmi, and Suraj Magar (19) of Pyuthan. According to the Police crime division, Khadka is the mastermind behind the robbery of the Chinese national Yuan Ruoyu who holds the passport number G58849693. Police said that Khadka had befriended Yuan Ruoyo through social media networking and invited him to visit Kathmandu. Investigators said Khadka had ganged up with Thapa and Magar and them made plans with them and robbed the Chinese of a digital camera. Yuan had then complained to the crime division of Metropolitan Police Office against the three robbers. The three are in police custody. Read Article
