India: Japanese tourist drugged and robbed in restaurant in South Delhi

Asianage.com reports that a 38-year-old Japan national was allegedly drugged and robbed of his belongings by unidentified persons at a restaurant in South Delhi. A police official said the incident took place around 10 days ago. The victim, Hiroshi Izumoto, is an official in foreign consultancy. “Two persons he met in Metro train befriended him and took him to a restaurant on the pretext of having coffee where they robbed him. We are checking the CCTV footage of Metro train and restaurant to get a clue about the accused,” said the police official. Read article
