India: British man trampled to death by elephant at wildlife resort

Mirror.co.uk reports that a British tourist has been trampled to death by an elephant as he took photographs at a wildlife resort in India. The 68-year-old man, named in reports as Colin Manvell, died at the Masinagudi National Park, in the state of Tamil Nadu. He is believed to have been taking pictures of an elephant in a river when two jumbos attacked him from behind, the Press Trust of India quoted police as saying. He was reportedly “fully focused” and did not hear warnings from other tourists. Read article
