Five Turkish Airlines flights to Germany delayed by bomb threat

Hurriyet Daily News reports that five planes of Turkey’s flag carrier airline, Turkish Airlines (THY), were searched for explosives at Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport on the evening of Aug. 14 after a bomb warning. All five planes searched by police experts were flying to German cities – Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Stuttgart – Doğan news agency reported.
